Pink nails

Eight kinds of pink, from almost nude to full pink, plus glitter, stars and a french. All gel wraps: 90 seconds under the lamp, 2–3 weeks on the hand.

Which pink?

Pink is the colour with the most variants on the shelf and, honestly, the one we reach for most. It is not one pink — it is at least four different intentions:

  • Light Pink: almost nude, the colour that goes with anything and on any skin undertone. If you do not know what to take, take this.
  • Deep Pink: full coverage, no glitter — for day and evening, office and going out.
  • French Pink: the quiet french, which you only see is a french up close. Good on short nails.
  • Pink Glitter and Pink Stars: the same warm pink, with fine glitter denser at the tip or with stars scattered unevenly.
  • White–Pink Ombré: sheer at the cuticle, full pink at the tip. It forgives nail growth best, because it has no hard line at the base.

Pink and your undertone

Warm pink (with a hint of peach) sits well on warm-undertone skin; cool pink (clean, no yellow) on cool. Light pink sits well on both — hence its popularity. The thirty-second wrist test and the rest of the rules are in how to pick the colour for your skin tone.

Pink on feet too

The Pink Pedicure and the Pink Multicolour set — shades of pink, one per toe — are the same wraps, cut for feet. They last up to four weeks and you put your shoes straight back on.

How they combine

Two pink sets from one order give three manicures: each on its own, plus an accent from the stars or glitter set on the ring finger with the rest in light pink. Leftover wraps keep in their sleeve for next time.

Questions about pink

Which pink is the "safest" for a first time?

Light Pink. It is almost nude, works on any undertone and with any clothes, and forgives application mistakes most — a wrap set a millimetre higher does not show.

Does deep pink show nail growth?

Yes, sooner than light pink: after a week or two a fine line of nail appears at the cuticle. On light pink and on the ombré it barely shows. If you wear wraps for the full three weeks, choose light; if you change at two, take what you like.

Is pink glitter hard to remove?

No — unlike glitter polish. The glitter is held inside the gel, so the wrap comes off whole, with oil, like a solid colour. It only asks for a few extra strokes when filing, because it is slightly thicker.
